Hi Countryfish

My daughter has had a betta for around a year & these 2 here are my first and I've not had them long at all. My daughter's has been easy to look after so far though. I just water change 50% weekly (using Prime) and feed them 2 Hikari betta-bio Gold pellets each a day. One pellet at a time, and they don't get the next until the first is eaten. Sometimes I give them a 3rd pellet, but no more. Same feeding & water change program for my daughter's. Fingers crossed they live a long & healthy life for me. Good luck if you try again

Cheers

Hey Robyn,

I'm pretty sure that if you move your pics around on your hard drive into different folders or whatever then they will no longer appear on the site. If this didn't happen, then I'm not positive what happened above....maybe post a link to this thread in site feedback to get Adams attention if what I suggested above isn't the case.

EDIT:
Don't know where I got that idea into my head. I guess that isn't the case, sorry for the misinfo robyn.

Here's a shot of my new Apisto cacatuoides double red (or maybe tripple) red female. If I ever get a half decent shot of the male, I'll add that to the list.

Wow Robyn, these last pics look great. I love how densely the tank is plantes, and the discus are just breathtaking.

Great stuff!! Thanks for sharing them with us!

Scott, thanks for the nice comments about my last bunch of photos.

Here are a few more pictures of some of my discus.

A couple of shots of my mixed albino. He was a lot creamier in colour when I got him. Must be the tetracolor bits making him this colour. I still think he's very pretty, but will try to back off the tetra colorbits, as I forget what he looked like when he was cream.

Here he is again with a Red Melon. A red turk is in the rear left corner

My blue diamond. He always looks greenish in the photos. Really, he is a pretty metallic blue, with gorgeous red eyes

Here is my red alenquer

Here is my new red alencer (in QT).

Lastly, a blury shot of my cardinal tetras

I'm a bit confused about the names alenquer and alencer. Thought they were just mis spelling the same fish, but you can see that my two are very different from each other. There seems to be divided opinion on if the red alencer is a rose red. I'm confused

Anyway, hope you like the photos.

Cheers

Maybe there's not as much difference in the colour of my mixed albino after all.

Mixed Albino in Sept 07, doing his time in QT

The same Mixed Albino Jan 08

Beautiful fish, Robyn. Gorgeous discus! P. Taeniatus is a species I've been wanting to keep for a while, but they're hard to find around here. The only time I've seen any, I couldn't take them home for one reason or another.

superlion, hope you can grab yourself a pair of P. Taeniatus next time you see them. They are nice fish - hard to find here too, but right now there have been a few around, so I have been lucky.

Anyway, here are some more pics to share, as usual not to the standard I'd like, but it's the best I can do

A.Borelli Male Had this guy quite a while. He doesn't have a mate.

The LFS who sold me my Wild Royal Blue discus took some pictures of it, in the store tank, a few days before I brought the fish home.

Wild Royal Blue Discus

He has darkened up since moving out of LFS bare bottom tank & into my planted tank. The yellow colour was accurate on the day I picked him up, but now his base body colour is more of a mustard/red brown. Below is the same fish, but after he has had time to settle in his new planted home. His fins are clamped down in this shot, which ruins his shape.

In the next shot, he has extended his fins nicely, so he looks a nice round shape. Fin pattern & black edging around fins is more evident evident.

Time for an updated shot of my Wild caught Royal Blue discus. He has had time to settle in now & his colour is looking really nice

Wild Royal Blue Discus

Wild Heckels This is after one week in QT. They will spend a bit of time here, before moving on. They are still very young & small.

Apisto. Baenschi Picked up 2 male & 2 female juveniles today. Very young & much more growing up to do before they reach their full beauty.

Oh Robyn,

just made myself unhappy by looking at your beautiful discus: Now I will not be able to appreciate my poor P. leopoldi. Instead I will look forward to the time when I can set up my own very long discus tank ... absolutely gorgeous fish that you have!

Hi Claudia

Glad you like them. Did you see my other new thread? The discus in the new thread are my newest ones (still in QT as we speak). Their QT is actually my old African Tank. The divided breeder is no more. It is now the African Tank & almost became the 3rd Discus tank (still might). Hubby argued a case to keep the Africans, instead of moving them on altogether. I'll have to get around to changing the tanks pics in my sig, as they are all out of date now.
