Finally got my tank looking how I want it. All I need to do now is wait until it is finished cycling then I'll buy some fishies. I think I am going to go with 5 or 6 Neon Tetras and a single Ram or Apisto.

Instead of the Neons go for Cardinals you will find they are a hardier fish and a lot less problem can occur. With the tetras a bigger the school the better they then behave like a school of fish rather than a few odd fish here and there in the tank.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

I agree with the more the better, but keep in mind it is only a tiny tank.

All the plants in the tank are fake except the anubias on the driftwood. Haven't got a light yet, waiting for my parents to post the one I have at their place.

looks like a nice small set up...

maybe try like 6 cardinals and some shrimp...

a ram or apistos is likely going to be upset in such a small space. Although a small apisto might fit nicely, you would have to do some major research.

Make sure you stock slowly and steadily, you dont want a mini cycle and all your fish die...

I added a good deal of ammonia every day of the cycle (~8 drops per day) and this was gone by the next morning, so there is a good amount of bacteria in the filter and tank.

Today I bought 8 Neon Tetras and 1 Blue Ram. I'll be monitoring the ammonia and nitrite levels for a few days. Will get some good photos when my light comes tomorrow.
