But my new fish is something I can't pass up showing off. I took like 40 pictures and only a couple turned out well, though, lol, so that's what you're gonna get to see. Well, that's taking pictures of fish for ya, hehe. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

With the light off I'm sure the pictures would've come out even worse. Sorry about water marks. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

Lesson of the day: For the Black Lancer, you can sex them by looking for the white thing on their underside in front of their anal fin. Females don't exhibit anything of that sort. The white scratches on the side are probably just net marks; the Black Lancer's skin is more easily damageable than most fish's since they lack scales, but I'm pretty sure that even among catfish the Black Lancer has pretty soft skin. But yeah, that gives you a good look at the beauty of the fish. Check out that lack of aquascaping. Yeah, that's a rock and that's it (the black thing is an internal filter that's holding filter floss; never know when I might need that filter floss next!). Sand might be added eventually, but right now it's bare bottom. I had this on my computer and just decided to post it since I don't really post pictures. The Mudskipper is sitting on a turtle dock I got at a pet store. It works pretty well and looks quite like a rock to most people that don't quite recognize it's floating.
