Thought you guys might like to see these A friend and I imported some fish from Thailand and decided to only do the parts of breeding that we liked. She likes spawning, I like raising, perfect partnership We have well over 200 offspring now, and morespawns on the go, but these are from the very first spawn of a gold dragon (yellow colour fins with metallic gold body) and a red dragon (red fins with a metallic body)

I should have some more pictures by the weekend Hope you like

What beautiful colours I especially like the second photo it looks more like a water colour painting rather than a live fish.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Quite impressive looking little fish, and perhaps I wouldn't be surprised to see such fish at a fish show.

They are lovely Calla! If I could find such nicely coloured bettas around here I would have one!

Thanks for the compliments guys I'll pass them along

We are hoping to start up some betta shows in NSW. Nothing fancy, just garage shows at meet-ups where people can bench their fish Hopefully these guys will give some of the newer breeders access to good quality stock (then all we have to do is hope they don't cross it to pet store VTs )

They are going to get shipped around the country too, to try and actually develop lines and strains rather than once off spawns. There's a box going to Perth and one going to Adelaide so far, but very likely one going to Melbourne too

Mez... where did I put that slap-with-a-trout emote?

Those are so !
Photos look lovely too, just a thought though, make sure the stamp gets on some of the actual fish too, so no one starts stealing!

I cant stop looking at that second one

I now have 81 of these guys jarred in my laundry, with another 60 or so still to come!

These are the first 2 of 5 current spawns! I'm going to be swamped! Still haven't gotten around to more photos, sorry

Once I have them all photographed and logged (we are trying to sort out the genetics a bit, they are quite a mixed bag) and I've conferred with my partner in crime er.. bettas

I'll shoot you a PM with details before the weekend
