Well, just nine days after finding brevis fry I was taking shots of my multi tank when I discovered fry! I've counted six babies so far; unlike the brevis these fry stay close together and near mom's shell. She is also quite protective.

Don't you just love finding those fry? I now have 3 or 4 areas in my 10 gallon where I can find fry. It is so cool seeing all the different ages, and watching them grow up together. My shellie tank is definitely one of my most satisfying tanks. They are really hard to get pics of though. So tiny!


They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.
