Hi guys

Set up a air line system with a tetra pump. The pump goes into a 4mm Chrome Air Valve 4 Way tap. The only prob is that is leaks air from around the taps. Which means im not getting the proper amount of air from the pump as the taps leak. To be fair I only paid £3 for it so, you get what you pay for. Can any one suggest a real good Air valve 4 way tap. Im willing to spend up to £30. Any help would be great

Hi,
The very best air taps, we call them "gang valves,"
are made of brass with small rubber O-rings.
Keep the O-rings moistened with silicone spray
and they will last a life time without drying out,
cracking, and leaking.

You will probably have to look around to find them.
Penn Tax makes them and the "Age of Aquarium" has
some brass gang valves with up to 18 outlets as one
set. I dropped an Email to the Age of Aquariums
asking for a better, more detailed description and
picture of their gang valves.

I am with Frank on this one. I have used a medium cost range and all have OK I have even seen stainless steel ones. It all works out to as you say "To be fair I only paid £3 for it so, you get what you pay for"
Not many LFS would carry better quality bits and pieces as it would not sell. It will be a matter of asking around for them.
