First of all welcome to FishProfiles
If your tank is 5-6 gall that is about 19-22 lt. Sorry to tell you that is far to small for even one Comet Gold fish.
Or do you have a 56gal tank? US or UK gal are different.

Babelfish will follow up fore sure and show you a photo of what a Comet grows to.

In the mean time just do a 2-3lt treated water change every day at least this will help to keep the water clean. The gravel I would remove it at least weekly and clean it in the water you have just taken out of the tank. It is either that or buy a small Gravel Vac and do a cleaning at least twice a week.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
