Ok, so my oldest Betta Cy, probably about 2 years now at least has pretty bad mouth fungus.

He's had it for at least 2 days. I returned on Monday morning around 12am, and the heat was turned off in my house, etc some of you have heard this story.

Well I revived him to find the next day that he had mouth fungus, not sure how long he had it for prior to this.

At any rate I did a 100% water change in his bowl, and added in Jungle - Fungus Clear.
Today it's bigger, and his colour is getting pail. He's normally a dark vibrant red, now the back portion of his underside is turning creamy white.

I'm about to do a 100% water change again, add in the aquarium salt, and dose with Mardel - Maracyn Plus. But I'm afraid what if this doesn't work either, what should I do next?

I don't know how much longer he has, he wants to eat, but can't.

I had a goldfish once that had really bad mouth fungus...I treated her for I guess 2 weeks with Melafix...She survived and got better...So end up story go get some Melafix, treat the fish, after 3 or so days of treating do a 50% water change, another 3 days another 50% water change, and so on till Ci is better...Here's hoping it does for you as it did for me...Heidi

I have some Melafix at home already, and Pimafix.

I will continue this current treatment for the recommended time *5 days* and then see what's what.

Do so, and see how much better it gets. If it gets better but is not healed, continue on for a few days....you don't want to stop if it needs more time to get better...Heidi

If it is that advanced, i'd be trying medicated food, as the infection sneaks inside the fish pretty fast.

Well he won't eat, so the medicated food isn't going to work.

It's spread through his gills now pretty bad...

I have attached some pictures to giveyou a better idea.

Try feeding him some live brine shrimp...Leslie's Betta--Gofish, wasn't do to well and wouldn't really eat...he improved drastically and ate the Live Brine Shrimp...it couldn't hurt would it? Heck keep treating him, and keep doing water changes...I'm sorry Cy is so bad off ...Heidi

So sorry to hear of your loss. Sometimes those diseases take hold and spread so fast that nothing will help.
