	Augh! My guppy tail split
Nemomom Fingerling Posts: 17 Votes: 0 Registered: 26-Aug-2004	Hello. I noticed this morning that my guppy tail was split. Have no clue how it happened. Just him and another guppy in the 2.5g tank. I bought melafix today. Said on the bottle to take the carbon out. So I just put a filter in without the carbon. Is this right? Will this medicine hurt the other fish? Both fish are healthy as far as I can tell.

Guppies, especially fancy Guppies, now and then have split tail problems but not caused by disease. Melafix is used when a fungus appears on fish. No fungus, no Melafix. --garyroland.
