Are they white spots? If so, it sounds like ich. This can be treated with products such as RidIch+.

Also, fancy goldfish in an appropriately sized tank will grow to the size of a softball (and sometimes larger).

EDIT: Disregard that first comment.

The only thing I can find online about this suggests black spots may be some type of external parasite. You could try a common deparastic, and the addition of a little aquarium salt to the water.
How big is your tank? Orandas get very very large very fast. They require at least a 75 tank for a pair of them. I remember someone posted a picture of a person holding a large fancy goldfish and you could get a real "feel" for how big they get, if they could post that pic here that would be great.
Have you done any water testing? What are your levels for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates? PH? Temperature? Tank size and filter? How often do you do water changes?
Please post this info and maybe we can get to the bottom of your problem!

take a very close look at the spots. are they round and small? clustered together? fuzzy? smooth? salt-like? slimy? etc...

also, have you had your water quality tested lately? i would really suggest it, because fish are a lot like people: when they are run down or stressed out, they are a lot more likely to get sick. poor water quality stresses fish.

if you don't have a test kit, a lot of LFS will test it for you. make sure to check ammonia, nitrIte, nitrAte, pH, etc...

sorry about you fishy, hope it's not too late for the other one

well, i have a 200 gallon tank I put them in along with some cichlids(I separated them completely to about 1/8 of the tank researve for my oranda.

My water is fine: PH 6.0-7.0
Amonia:0
Nitrate and all the other stuff is fine
I have two filters Eheim and a wet/dry

And for the spots: they are round and about 1 cm in diameter that scatter at different parts of the body.

Edit:Water changes every 2 months. Its a huge workout with a 200.

My back starting to ache thinking about it.

They are black spots?
My money is definetly on some type of parasite that came in with the fish when you bought them!
Jungle Brands Parasite Clear would work, so would Kent Marine RX-P, and likely would any medicine with Malachite Green, Methylene Blue, etc. You could also try raising the temperature a bit and adding some aquarium salt, this may also kill the buggers.
Also, a salt dip may be very helpful for the oranda. Take a bowl large enough for the fish to be just submerged. Fill with water from your aquarium. Add 1 Teaspoon Aquarium Salt per cup of water in the bowl. Dip the fish for 40-60 seconds in this solution 3 times a day for 2 days. It should make any parasites on the fish let go. At the time of the 3rd dip, if the black spots are noticeable still, perhaps you could try a close up look under bright light, or maybe try brushing one off and see what happens. This should tell you pretty quickly if it is a parasite of some kind.
Check your local stores for AntiParisitics.
Good luck!
