Cause of Cloudy Eye | |
slumpbusters2000 Small Fry Posts: 1 Kudos: 1 Votes: 0 Registered: 08-Dec-2011 | Hey guys, I've been dealing with a white cloudy eye in the left eye of my frontosa. The white seems to be concentrated over the lens and its all inside the eye, meaning under the cornea. I went to a local fish store and they told me to try a wide spectrum anti-biotic powder which I did to no success. I'm thinking it's more parasitic than bacterial after doing some online research. What does it look like to you guys? |

Unless it's a newly purchased fish I wouldn't expect parasites to pop up suddenly. I think bacterial much more likely. What are your water readings for ammonia nitrIte and nitrAte? How long did you treat with the antibiotics? Did you do a water change before? After? Did you remove the carbon from the filter? ^_^ |
