I was looking through the LFS tanks again and in one tank there were these round, clear, flat creatures hanging on the side of the tank. They were about 5-7mm across and you could see white specks inside them. Just wondering what they are....

Did they look like this?

If so, it is fish louse.

Never buy from a tank that has any sign of disease, parasite, or bad looking fish. If you see many tanks like this in one fish store, walk out and don't look back. Find another.

No they weren't on the fish and they didn't have legs. They look more like amoeba than anything else, only they are pretty good size.they have white specks inside them, they might be vacuoles.

Perhaps ich. Or are you talking about the fish. The fish could be a discus or a silver dollar or a glassfish. Ich is sortof common in aquariums. Very easy imo to get rid off. One if not the most easiest disease. Most petstores from my experience have at least one fish thats not in the best condition so you want to look around in the tank at what you are buying.

I think they were probably snail eggs.

...Unless they were moving around.

Try crushing them. If they go "crunch" it means they're probably miniature snails or freshwater limpets (I had something of a problem with them prior to introducing irrubesco puffers.
