My victorian obliquidens got ick a few days after i got him...no biggie, I added ick meds and it went away in 2 days. Afterwards there was a fungus that grew on him and spread slowly as patches of white cotton like stuff, bot too puffy, but more than just "body slime." I decided to set up my 1- gallon and quarentine him since he did not get any better in the 40 gallon i have set up with 9 other africans. I have tryed tetracycline in the tank for 4 days, pima fix for 3-4 days, and maroxy for 2 days...nothing seems to be working!!! most recently, I have been treating him with furon II. The fungus isn't speading anymore, but it also isn't clearing up. The 10 gallon was previously not set up/not sycled so I am also having to deal with rising nitrite levels since he is not getting any better in the past week and a half i have quarentined him! I also have recently been adding aquarium salt with meds. Yes i have removed the carbon filter and in the morning his colors look brighter than ever, since this furon stuff, but still cottony stuff in patches and his color fades throughout the day. What gives?! Please help... ![]() Last edited by darkcichlid at 29-Nov-2005 22:14 |
