I have a giant danio that was in a 55 gallon that I believe my have contracted swim bladder disease. Its lost its equilibruim and is swimming upside down. I've quarantine it in a 10 gallon tank, but I'm really not sure now what to use to treat it with. Any help will be appreciated.

We followed advice for our Oranda. Shelled cooked / blanched green peas. To be fair I was sceptical but after 24hrs he was swimming as if nothing had happened. Now you would never guess he had anything wrong at all.

All our fish now get peas each day as a treat.

Is the fish still eating?

Sometimes when something more serious is causing the fish to lose balance, it will show other signs of being sick such as pale colors and loss of appetite. But if it really is SBD, as many fancy goldfish get, then the fish should still be fairly active and should still have an appetite.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

Well unfortunatly the fish died sometime during the night. So I'm guessing SBD disease can probably be ruled out. I'm not sure about the loss of appetite as I didn't try feeding it after I quarantined it. It never turned pale or really looked different externally in anyway. The best way I can describe it is that the fish was upsided down seemed to have no control over bodily funtions and just floated in the tank. There also was not rapid or exessive gill movement.
Any ideas on what it could have been? Should I be worried about the reat of the fish in the tank? If so, What should I treat the tank with?
For the record the water parameters of the 55 gallon it was in are:ammonia and nitrites:0,Nitrates:5 ppm, Temp. 78,and ph:7.5
