I went to my lfs and picked up a pair of gouramies. One was a neon blue dwarf and the other a flame dwarf. The blue died within 48 hours. The flame was picking on him so I blamed it on that. He had no visable signs of any health problems. That was two days ago. At this time I noticed that the flame had a small white spot on his side. I thought that this could be an injury. Yesterday it didn't look any worse. Today I noticed that the flame wasn't too active so I took a closer look and found that he had more white spots and what looked like a fungus in patches. The color is more of a pale orange or yellow. I've had fish with ick before, and it doesn't look the same. This is a well established tank and the water tests are all within the normal ranges, along with the temp. Could you give me any ideas? I plan to get some melafix tomorrow after work. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks!

It likely is skin fungus, which is common after an injury.
A good anti-fungal medication would be best for you in this situation. Jungle Brands Fungus Clear is a good product, as is PimaFix- though if the fungus is in an advanced stage, I would go for something stronger like the fungus clear.
The fizzing fungus clear tabs are also very effective, also by Jungle Brands.
