OK, no more Cory deaths....but one of the cory has something on its pectoral fin. It's white, covers the entire fin...and if I look closely, it looks like a bunch of fine white fuzzy hairs sticking out....pretty gross.
I have been treating the tank w/ Pima/Melafix for about a week now. Other fish all seem OK.

Amm/N-ite 0, Nitrate 4 ppm, 75 F, pH 7.2....

Can't really tell from the pic, but if you suspect fin rot, then pimafix/melafix IME isn't strong enough to actually cure it. I'd try something geared specifically to fin rot, both bacterial and fungal. I've used jungle labs fungus clear in the past.

I started treatment w/ the Junge tabs. It says to do a 25% water change and second dose in 4 days.... Is that the best way to go about it?
Just seems weird to leave it alone for 4 days, I guess.

The Cory doesn't look too great, very lethargic. Hopefully he'll make it through this!

Is the cory still with us?

YOu know cory cats...they get spooked and dart around the tnak like they are on 3 pots of coffee. They bump into things and get scraped up, then those wounds can get infected.

White fuzz can either be a true fungus or bacteria that looks like fungus. More often than not, it is the latter. The reason for that is that true fungus typically grows on dead tissue whereas bacteria will grow on damaged or dying tissue as well as dead tissue.

The Fungus Clear is a good choice. Hopefully, it is not too late.

One thing to keep an eye on in the tank is for rotting food. Columnaris bacteria can be found on rotting food or plant matter and this just puts more bacteria in the tank overall - laying and waiting for the right opportunity. I like to use PimaFix and Melafix together any time I see a scrape or other open wound. One of my white clouds is a bully and bloodies up the other male every now and then. This is when I use it.

Try using flash for the pics and angle the camera so it is pointing somewhat down. The reflection will beam off the glass in a direction other than right back into the camera. The flash makes for a faster shutter speed, if you are using a simple digital cam.

The Cory actually died last night.

And the picture was taken with my camera phone, LoL. So the quality is bad, those were the best out of about 10 I took..

Sorry to hear that, are any of the other fish in the tank affected by the same thing?

From your discription and the not so good pics, I was leaning towards a fungal infection. If not treated, they can kill the infected fish. This usually starts from an injury, and continues to grow on the infected tissue. The biggest problem is though, that the treatment is ruff on scaleless fish, such as the catfish. You have to dose half as much, and twice as long.

This was the only fish in the tank that had anything like this.

If it was fungus, and the other fish are in good health, you probably won't see again, unless another fish gets injured
