The red gills "could" be Gill Flukes this requires medication. The red stringy poop sounds like an internal problem causing bleeding.

Suggestions
You "could" have two problems. It also looks like it is reproducing its self causing other fish to become hosts to the problem.
If you can transfer them to a hospital tank this might solve the problem of transfering its self to another host.

I would suggest you take them back to your LFS and ask them what it is and what can be done.

I would issolate the fish as it has this as well as the gill flukes.

I would see if you can find some Jungle Buddies Parasite Clear....It is relatively cheap...it will treat external and internal parasites (the white poo could be from a parasite) and ALSO has a bacteria medication which may help with the treatment. I've used this product and would reccommend it. I haven't found, personally, any other product that also treats internally.
Plus, the tablets FIZZ!

I've got a fever... and the only prescription... is more cowbell!
