I have a peacock in my 125g that doesn't eat. Or atleast I haven't seen him eat. He is also very shy and hides behind the rocks a lot. The parameters are 0/0/15. The only thing I can think is that Im treating the tank for ich and I did the heat method and the temp is at 86. I have good aeration going and none of the other fish are acting weird. Also I haven't seen really any agression against him. Any Ideas.

my peacock was shy for the first six months! Hid all the time & never saw it eat. I now see it when I put live food in sometimes but just guess it has a small apitite & is shy.

It has no symptoms.

I guess it'll be ok.

PS I have a similar sized tank...do you have a link to any pictures of yours?

i've had a peacock eel for 8 months now. At first he would swim and go from end to end of my 55 gallon tank. Now I NEVER see the little guy unless i'm doing deep gravel cleanings. They are very shy and mostly stay under the rocks. They eat what is down there with them, whatever the bottom feeders leave behind. I have NEVER seen mine eat!!! Yet, he's still hangin' out all by himself....
