	IS THIS FIN ROT????

Babelfish Administrator Small Fry with Ketchup Posts: 6833 Kudos: 8324 Votes: 1570 Registered: 17-Apr-2003	Kinda hard to tell from that pic but it does look like fungal fin rot....in which case myxazin isn't likely to do it as from a google search (not familar with uk meds) it's an antibacterial. Adding an airstone and leaving the tank lights off will also help. Airstone for more surface agitation, tank lights to minimize stress. We thought it was game over for the gourami after she developed 3 more white lumps on her body and 1 more on ner tail. as fell as losing quite a lot more of the bottom fin, but after a few more days treatment the white on her body and tail has gone, and the bottom fin only has a tiny bit of white on it now, and is not as red on the edges as it was. She is still swimming happily so we are hoping that the remaining white specs go over the next few days and she can concentrate on making a full recovery and re-growing her damaged fin.
