I got 4 swordtails 4 guppies and 2 dwarf gouramis a couple of days back. Two of the swords had ich i noticed this at night so i used some medicine i had for ich, the temp is at about 85F. One sword had only a couple of white spots and now they're gone. Another sword who had a lot of spots on her tail and some on her dorsal fin has gotten much better but there is a very little white string on her dorsal fin. Will that go away with the ich or not?

I can return this sword and get another but i have till monday to see if she gets well.

There's one more thing. Occasionally a couple of swords sit on the gravel (i saw a guppy sitting too) or hide under a rock i have, is this normal?

thanks

i know i'm being paranoid but i dont want anything to go wrong

It's fin fungus on the fin I would wait till the whitespot has cleared before you treat, might heal with water changes, do you have alot of aeration with the medication.

yeah there’s sufficient aeration, i actually have this book by william t. innes, in which i read that ich is usually accompanied by fungus and it'll go away. just wanted to reconfirm.

thanks
