Today I saw some white spots and I quickly added some medication. Its quite cold these days, the temp of the tank was about 72 degrees. I raised it to 78-80 over 4 hours. Now I see that one of my opaline gouramis has slightly clouded eyes. I gave some blood worms and all of them finished them so theres no eating problem.

What can cause clouded eyes?

Thanks for looking.

Cloudy eye is due to poor water quality, did you do a water change before you added the med, turn temp up to 30 add some salt if you haven't any scaless fish.

Strong ich meds or an overdose of meds will cloud a trop's eyes...

If the med stopped the ich you can do a partial water change of 35% of the same temp and pH to dilute the ich med.

Salt is not recommended, except on your hamburger, and your current temp is fine.

Well I turned the heater off. Did a 25% water change. But the gourami's eyes got clouded during the temp change. And the other fish just sat for a bit but they're swimming now.

Thanks for the help.

Heaters should remain at a set temp and never turned off...

Temp changes do not cloud trops eyes, strong meds will.
