Can someone please explain the life cycle of Ich? I have quite a few small white dots on the walls of my tank. There isn't anything on the fish, just the walls. It almost appears to be fish eggs of some sort but they aren't in a specific pattern or area. Also, then only fish that would lay eggs that i have is a zebra danio, but i didnt think they would stick to the glass. Thanks.

If it's on the glass, then it isn't ich.

The parasite spends most of its time on the fish, but then falls off and multiplies in the gravel. The newly formed parasites then find a fish to attach themselves to.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

Thanks for the reply. So so you know if zebra danio eggs might stick to the glass?

Hi,

They are more likely to be snail eggs than anything else if they are stuck to the glass. Danio eggs will not stick to a surface - they fall into the substrate.

from what i've read about snail eggs, these do not appear to be them. also, ive never had any snails and i dont believe any of my fish have been in contact with any either. it does seem however that i have some of the small white worms on the side of my tank. could those white dots have been worms that were hatching? regardless, what is the best way to get rid of those worms? I wish i could just feed them to my fry. Thanks.
