Hi all,

this morning I just noticed that my larger Tandanus cat has a cut near his head.

Its like a bit of skin is missing and do it looks like he has a white patch on his head.

Pic here

Just wondering what I can dose with to stop further infection as they are scaleless.

The only other species in the tank is a Golden Perch.

Thanks

I'm concerned that the area may be a fungus problem...

You can try dosing some Melafix, an anticeptic, but if the area starts to spread or break down, a more potent fungus med would be required.

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

The fish is about 7 inches long, I can see that the skin 'dips' down where the problem is so it looks like skin has been removed.

I will dose with metafix today (I wasnt sure if it was 100% ok on scaleless fish) and see how it goes

Thanks again.
