Krib acting funny | |
zeketaz Hobbyist Posts: 114 Kudos: 78 Votes: 1 Registered: 18-May-2009 | My female Krib has lost her purple belly. It was very purple yesterday and today she's almost translucent. As I'm typing she is showing a little more purple but no where near normal. She's just acting all lethargic to and didn't eat today. Water Test: PH 6.4 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 20-40 kind of high Could it be the nitrates are to high and causing her stress? All the other fish are doing fine. |

I've even had my male lose a lot of his color if they don't have eggs or fry. I've noticed they tend to have more color when together, but if they've had a fight and are hanging out in opposite ends of the tank their colors are a lot more subdued. Not sure if they really have fights, but just what I've noticed . Glad she seems back to normal. Maybe an extra wc if you feel your nitrAtes are a bit high? ^_^ |
