Today I lost 2 of my original fish that I have had for over 5 years now. I lost a glass cat and a diamond tetra. It's kinda weird I bought them together at the same time from the same place and now they have died a few hours apart.

Im hoping its not something in the water. I did a 10% water change when I got home tonight and am gonna take a sample of my water up for testing tomorrow.

I bought 4 more glass cats a few weeks ago I lost one the next day and another just a few days ago. I was thinking it was just my glass cats untill I got home and saw the tetra swimming funny.

Now I am down to 2 glass cats again and I am now afraid to buy more.

My other fish seem to be doing ok... Although 2 neon tetras seem to have disappeared. I don't think anyone is big enough to eat them in the tank except for the Pleco and he doesn't seem aggresive.

sigh... A bad week for my aquarium. I was gonna go get a few more glass cats tomorrow but now i am gonna hold off till I see if my water is ok.

i would definitely hold off till you know what is going on in the water...and its strange, cause usually glass cats die of loneliness, they need to be in schools! how big is your tank? that might be a factor, but other than that i hope your water params. are ok!

72 gallon bowfront:Tanganyikan Lake set up
75 gallon: A. Baenschi trio,Cyanotilapia Afra Cobwe(4), copadichromis trewavase, protomelas sp. tangerine tiger(breeding pair)

Yes I have a 55 gallon tank. Had my water tested and no problems there... My LFS is at a loss to explain the deaths.

I found no visable evidence of a diease.

The Tetra died last night. All the other fish seem to be doing well.

BTW my current stock is

3 guppies
3 balloon mollies
6 zebras
9 Harlequins
10 Neons
1 Pleco
2 Glass cats
