![]() | My betta is not well |
newfishfriend![]() Hobbyist Posts: 90 Kudos: 142 Votes: 3 Registered: 16-Jan-2004 ![]() ![]() | Hi everyone I have a male betta in a 2.5 Gallon bowl. I've had him for about 7 months now. He was absolutley fine until about 3 days ago. Now he seems mopey, and lethargic. He doesn't swim much unless he gets a fright. (like when someone walks by the bowl) Also he is not eating. I've tried flakes, bloodworms, and crushed pee and he wont touch anything. He doesn't seem to have any spots on him anywhere but his colors are very faded. He mainly sits on the bottom of the bowl and looks like he's gasping for air but will swim to the top of the bowl once in a while. The bowl is not heated, but the temp has been pretty constant at 78-79 degrees. I do weekly 100% water changes with his most recent being 2 days ago. Could he be sick or maybe just old and on his way out? ![]() Poor fella! Thanks! |

Maybe something could have gotten in the tank that shouldn't of? He could also be constipated, trying feeding him a pea. If he constipated, that should help. Good Luck. ![]() |
