are these new fish?

what are they eating?

has the colour gone completely in patches or become very very pale?

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks. - Terry Pratchett

Does the fishes spine look crooked at all?...maybe he has swimbladder disease, which would explain the swimming sideways i think. If the spine is crooked and the neon loses its color it could be very serious. It could have NTD (Neon Tetra Disease) which is very contagious. Also, you should get a test kit at your lfs to test the pH, NitrAtes and NitrItes.

Transparency isn't really bad. What you would look for is faded color...pale red and blue, not transparency.I think a lot of tetras like the neon are somewhat transparent. For example

Cardinals
Glowlights
Rummynoses

etc...

So i think your neons are probably fine...but watch that one that was swimming crooked...if he starts again there might be a problem.

xlinkinparkx,

Under normal conditions, the Neons that appear to be skinny are the males,
the females are the ones that have a rounder belly.

OK, this is getting annoying, everytime i look at my neons i see something new wrong, now first the females(i think) have like a blueish round bump on the bottom of their bellys, can this be eggs????

Second:
Two of my neons have a whiteish tipped tail, one's tail look a little eaten and the other one's tail tip is just white can this be a disease?????

That could be fin rot on the tail. I think melafix treats finrot, but i can't remember. Try to treat the finrot soon because it can really do some damage. The blue bump on the bellies i have no clue what it could be, but i really doubt it is eggs.
