A fin infected with fin rot will rot down to the base of the fin...

A fin rot med can be dosed to help the other fins but the missing fin will never regenerate.

The only other diagnosis I can offer is skin flukes, which will cause drooping fins/fin damage and "may" lead to fins dropping off.

But other signs would appear on the fish such as color loss and strange swimming actions.

A parasite med would stop the flukes.
