My female betta has been living in a 33 gallon tank for about 3 months. recently, I noticed she was acting kind of funny. A couple days later, I noticed she had some red spiky things attached near her ventral fins. I seperated her immediately, and when I was finally able to see it, it looked like an open sore with red spikes. It's really gross. I've been treating it with fungus stuff, but I wanted to know if it's actually a fungus, or if it's a parasite. None of my other fish have anything wrong with them. She has been removed for about 4 days. What do I do?

It sounds like a parasite, but I can't really tell from your description. My first thought is anchor worms, but i don't know.

Is there a way you can get pictures up for us to see?

Ya! that's what it looks like, except the ones on her aren't that long, but there's a few more. Any suggestions?
