	Pictus, missing half a barbel!
chrism Enthusiast Posts: 152 Kudos: 109 Votes: 19 Registered: 14-Jul-2004	Hi, i've just noticed that one of my pictus is mising half of one of his long barbels! 1. will it grow back? 2. will he be ok? 3. who could have done this to him? my other tank mates are: one more pictus, bolivian rams, red eyes and cardinals lol im guessing it wasn't either of the last two!

The fish should be fine, unless something keeps taking off the barbel. Sometimes catfish barbels will erode, but I'm guessing this is not the case, because it is only one barbel. It might have been the ram that nipped it off, they can get irritated at their tankmates sometimes. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
