Im pretty sure i got an outbreak of ich in my tank. am i 100% sure? no i dont have a microscope lol. my problem is this is a cichlid tank and inside resides a 6 inch sailfin pleco also about a million malaysian trumpet snails. so this rules out copper and green cures. i got some stuff called Prevent Ich by kordon. says its 100% organic and safe for everything. in the instruction it says ( if ich is spotted do this ect. ) so im assumeing it can also be used as a treatment along with a preventitive measure. anyone had any luck with it before? Any other treatments ok for plecos and snails would be great. only one fish seems to have only a few spots on him so im hopeing i caught this very early. allready the fish is showing signs of being weak and lethargic. breathing heavy. also i notice some spot that seem to be abnormally large for ich, look more like the size of a whole scale ( small fish about 3 inches ). not sure if this could the result of scratching or maybe flukes.
anyway any help, input would be great. the pleco is my main concern, the snails are replacable easy enough, they breed like guppies.

Rid ich is a bit more diluted than most other conventional ich treatments. That being said, it (malachite green) is still copper based and is basically fish chemotheraphy, so use sparingly. It is very effective, though, and I've used it on many of my fancy plecs without much ill harm.
