Came home tonight to find another of my peppered corys floating.

This poor little guy looked to have just moved on one side of him looked to be paralysed - his fins were all closed up whlie the other side looked fine.

Water parameters all test fine - PH 7.0, Nitrite - 0, Nitrate 5.

Any ideas what might have happened to him??

barthog, makes me think that maybe something was sprayed in the area of the tank? possibly he got ahold of something that fell into the tank by accident? Had a stroke? Go ahead and start doing some water changes in case it was something in the water, though it may not have been...30% today, 3-4 days 30%, etc...for a couple of weeks will help remove whatever might have been in the tank, and keep an eye on the other guys, and let us know...heidi michelle

I dont know where in OZ you are but for some reason I can not keep Peppered Cories (bought from several LFS) so I switched to common Bronze and have not lost one.

Heidi Michelle, definietly nothing foreign in the tank. I can't guarantee someone didn't spray something though. I have started the water changes.

Keithgh, I am up in Newcastle NSW. I will give it mybest shot to save these guys. If it all goes pear shaped I'll give the bronze guys a go. For some reason I seem to have gotten hooked on corys........hmmmm.
