One of my female guppies has red spots under her tummy and red around her eyes, on her mouth and around her gills. I at first thought septecemia but there is no streaking. She does have stringy, pale (almost see through) poo, so I'm treating her with anti-parasite. She is gasping for breath at the top of the tank and sometimes laying on the bottom not moving. I've isolated her to treat her. She was in the 10 gallon with 2 other males and 2 other females. I took the 2 males out today. I thought she was pregnant, is it possible that she's just stressed out? What could the red spots be? How should I be treating her? I put her in a spare tank, but it's got no filter, whcih I thought was a bad idea, but I don't want to treat the whole 10g tank because there's fry in there.

Please post test results in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, have you added extra aeration to the tank with the med, also why didn't you try a shelled pea and some daphnia to make sure she wasn't constipated, before adding the med.

Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates are all zero. Turned out she was pregnant. The red spots disappeared after she gave birth. Oh, and I did try shelled pea, but she wasn't eating. Her poo is no longer stringy and has colour. A week before the birth she suffered pretty badly from fin rot but in the past two weeks it's grown back. I guess she was all stressed from the pregnancy.

However, she's not exactly better. Her scales all seem to have a blackish outline. I thought she had dropsy because she was acting mad and had definite pineconing, but I couldn't see all the way to her tail. But it was just because she was pregnant. There's no pineconing anymore, and I haven't treated her for anything except the fin rot. She's in the tank with her fry, and she won't eat the usual food although sometimes eats the fry food I give the fry. She seems less active then the other guppies in the other tank. But my biggest problem is the fact that she's so dark. She was see-through/kinda yellow before and now she's yellowy/black. Just wondering if it is anything I should be worried about.
