I really don't know what it could have been. Water is pristine, heater is fine... I don't know what kind of chemicals could have gotten in there. My angels are breeding (I have free-swimming fry now!), but I lost two killifish over night. My loach is still seizuring, I think I'll have to euthanize him...

Only thing I can think of is my dad constantly shoves his hands in my tank to "help out" (Since as an engineer, he knows so much about fish), without washing them first...

Edit: Second thoughts:
What do you mean by moisture inside the glass? Like, if I looked at the heater, I could see moisture? Is it possible you have a pciture of what this might look like?

I knew this couldn't have been an illness, because I've never seen anything like it... so either something toxic (from my wonderful engineer's hands), or electricity must be it...

My apistos are starting to act up now!! Aaagh!! :%)]:|

Sounds like one of two situations to me.

Either there is some toxic component to your water or your heater is malfunctioning.

Check all your water parameters and try to think if there is any way anything foreign (aerosol spray of some kind) or that you could have possibly added too much of some water conditioner to the tank.

Make sure your heater is operating properly and that it still has a good seal. Look and see if there is any moisture inside the glass. It almost sounds like you have a stray current of electricity flowing through the water.

I'm sorry I can't give you more than that right now.
