I'm going to move this to the Hospital forum where you should get more help from members experienced with dealing with HITH and other diseases. ![]() |

If you are having thoughts on destroying the fish why not talk to a local fish store and see if there is someone there that will nurse the fish back to health. It shouldn't be put down simply because you think its time to change species. Do the fishy a favor and ask someone else to care for it first. If the fish can't be saved at least the person at the fish store will know how to dispose of the fish humanely. Flushing a live fish is about the cruelest thing you can do to one. |

I don't mean to sound harsh but if you can't keep an Oscar healthy what makes you think that Angels are going to be anymore resistent to problems? Angels are some of the most finicky types of fish to raise. It seems like you just got tired of the Oscar perhaps because he required alittle more work than you were prepared to perform so you just decided to end it for him. I am not trying to give you a hard time but you need to do what is right by the fish you have not the fish you necessarilly want. If you can't commit to properly caring for the fish in your charge maybe you should consider another type of hobby. Like pet rocks or something. That Oscar deserved more of a chance than what he got. HITH is very treatable. I'll gladly help you in any way that I can with problems as I am sure everyone else here will do but if you aren't going to take the care of your fish seriously I doubt you will find much sympathy.
