Fish is in a hospital tank, so all parameters are currently zero.

Danio was found floating upside down in 20 gal tank this morning. Moved him into freshly set up hospital tank. On someone else recommendation I kept the water shallow, about 2 inches deep. Danio can now swim normally, but is now swimming extremely fast around the tank and appears reddish in color. No other obvious symptoms at this time.

Any and all help appreciated. Thanks.

if you just set up your tank be careful for ammonia, but you shouldn't have a problem it it is just one small fish. I lost tiger barbs to high ammonia levels when i had them is a fresh hospital tank.

why the fish is darting around, i dont know but it could be because of new surroundings or shock, my fish do that sometines when you move them from thier tank.

but atleast he is swimming instead of floating.

What kind of Danio is it? And were is the redness you mentioned located on his body. I agree with the fact he is probably swimming that fast because he was put in a new tank. Also how about tank size and water parameters from the tank he came from, that'll be a good place to start.
