The other day, I bought three corydoras xinguensis, though they were not labeled as such. Two of the cories are around one and a half inches, the other is an inch at the most. At first, the little one was the most energetic, and the least shy. I did have an outbreak of suspended algae three days ago, but that is gone. Yesterday evening, I noticed that the active little cory wasn't active anymore, and it had a small nip taken out of its dorsal fin, presumably from my lemon tetras. The cory hasn't been very active today, either. I noticed that when it went to the surface for a gulp of air, upon returning, it kept flipping upside-down slowly in the water. I know that it is sick, maybe dying, but I can't find any external symptoms. I have tested my water, and all of the parameters are as they should be. Does anyone have a clue as to what's wrong with my cory, and if there is anything I can do to save it?

I apoligize for the fuzzy picture, I didn't spend much time trying.[/font]

It sounds as though the fish was already ill when you bought it, and the move to a new home has finished the fish off, I've bought fish like what you have experienced, sadly to say they die.

Maybe it was stressed by the travelling & it was already dying when you bought it. How are the other 2 doing?.

The other two catfish are in the best of health and happily cleaning the gravel. I'm sorry to say that the little cory died a few days ago, though the body is yet to be found. My guess is that the cories ate it.
