Gang,

Just a quick question before I start to add Quick Cure to my tank. I have a 29G, well planted,
with 6 Zebra Danios, 5 Neon Tetras, 1 Platy, and 9 (7 week old) platy fry. I recently added the
Neons (see thread [link=No Luck with Neons]http:// www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/The%20Hospital/60933.html?200506241731[/link] ) and one had one white spot after 1 day in my tank.

Well, the spots have multiplied and I now have 3 with a few spots, also my Platy has one on his tail.

Do you think I endanger my Platy fry if I use Quick Cure? The last time I used it (also getting
Ich after adding Neons) I dosed a quarter of the normal amount, every other day for 2 weeks,
with water changes on every non-treatment day.

Thanks,

Ingo

Sorry,

I couldn't (or didn't want to) wait any longer, I treated with 6 drops (on the 29G) of Quick Cure just now. I took a long and close look at my fish and found some small spots on my Fry as well.

I guess that didn't leave me with any other choice anyway.

Thanks,

Ingo

u picked a very good choice for a med

quick cure is the ONLY med i trust on fry i used it on newborn betta fry when their dad got it, so i moved them, and treated him, but treated them seperate, i just used the dosage u used the treatment for tetras just to be safeand i dident loose any to the med, i olny knew of a few fry left when i started treating (and i had a wild fry, and guppy fry)

I should think that it would be okay. Quick Cure is a pretty good ich med in my experience, and it seems to work just fine in smaller doses. Just keep an eye on those little platies, and hopefully everything will work out just fine.
