A white cotton like growth is developing into a red spot.

It's also infected my ottos tail!

I have some stronger meds since the mela/pima combo doesn't appear to be working, when is the closest time I can start treating with my stronger meds if I treated this morning with mela?

Now. Melafix & pimafix will have very minimal reactions with most stronger meds. Assuming you have readily available OTC drugs, it shouldn't be a problem. Small WC or bung some carbon in for a few hours if you are concerned, but after this length of time the melafix will have dropped in strength a fair bit anyway, I expect.

I would continue with the Primafix and the Melafix as recommended for at least a week. It sounds like it could have been caused by a water infection or another fish.
What are the water peramiters?

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Sounds like its escalating, id be tempted to ditch the melafix/pimafix approach, and go straight for a product that contains malachite green. No waiting time needed, mela and pima clash with very few fish meds.
