Hey, One of my Neon tetras got white spots.
I didn't fo anything to help the fish.
But it seemd the white spots are starting to go away,
is it possible for white spots to cure and/or go away?

The reason the neon go white spots is becuase of not cylcing the tank, It has not been 3-4 weeks and they seem to be leaving.
Ofcource I have been doing water changes.
Thanks,

Ich is a complex life cycle. Those embedded on the fish drop off (based on time and temp) and will eventually hatch out many more swarmers that will infect the fish again within days.

Do you have ammonia, nitrite and nitrate readings? If you don't have a tester, you can take a bag of water to the fish store and ask them to do so. Just make sure you get the numbers from them on each thing we need.

It is best to have something in the water to kill the swarmers. You cannot kill ich embedded in the fish and they will come off naturally.

Since you have a fish that is classified as "sensitive" on meds, then you should get a product like Ick Guard-2 by Jungle. Ick Guard-2 is safe for scaleless and sensitive fish. Follow directions and keep adding daily for several days after the last spot has fallen. It is very important to have the med in the water while swarmers are out, which is about now if you are seeing the spots disappear. So, if you can try to get the Ich Guard-2.

If you cannot get Ich Guard-2, you can use something like Rid Ich Plus at half strength.

Be very careful not to drop the temp during a water change and make sure you do a partial water change prior to adding the med. Do a 25% change without disturbing your gravel.

You will need to remove activated carbon, but I would not remove the cartridge or biobag. Rather, simply open it up or cut it open and remove the carbon. We need all the good bacteria we can get by not throwing out the seeded portion of the media.

Hope this helps

I forgot to specify what I meant about not dropping the temp during water changes.

Try to maintain the tank's temp within 1-1.5F or 1C during any water change (up or down). This minimizes stress.

Also, I'm asking about your current parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate) so we can see what impact the ich med may have. All of them will hinder your cycle.
