Umm... i have 3 pencil fish in a 5 gallon and i just noticed that one has some white stuff around his gills and has his mouth opend and is breathing extramly fast while the other two are fin. Also i have 3 baby guppy in there also(temp). what can i do???

I would remove the sick fish or remove the guppies. Fry will not survive treatments as well as adult fish. It likely has a bacteria infection. My female congo tetra looked exactly the same and I lost a male overnight to fuzzy stuff on his sides. I treated with maracyn and saved both the female and another male that was starting to get it. It took about 3 days for the white stuff to leave her gills.

Sounds like a bacterical infection buy a good medication and follow the instructions. All the best & keep us informed.

Yes, it's a bacterial infection. Get some antibiotics and treat the sick fish, although removing the fry from the main tank would be best as the other fish may get the same infection.

Oh no!!!Well good news first the infection is gone, Now Bad my babies dissapeard!!!!! but they were way biger then the mouths of the pencils i had 3 nooooooo
