OK I'm probably just over reacting and if I am please tell me so, so I'll be able to relax

Tonight as I was doing the nightly feeding of the 125 and the headcounts on said tank, my corries all came by and waved their little fins to thank me for the food which is normal:%)

But, the little guy I'm worried about is an adult female albino cory...She like the 6 others in the tank are white, duh, with red eyes, even more duh i know...

but her eyes seemed to be more red than normal...and when I looked clower it seemed to have a small bubble, almost like an ulcer on the eye...

I checked the rest of the gang, including the metae fry, but noone's eyes seem to have this "bubble"...I suppose it is possible that I just never noticed the "bubble" on her eye before tonight, but I'm wondering...is this normal? I know I need to post a picture to be sure, but I still haven't found the cameratomorrow I promise to clean out the front seat of the truck, and destroy everything till I find my camera]:| But, till I find it, can someone just tell me that I'm overreacting, and like my hearing, i'm seeing things a lot clearer now? Oh and if I'm not overreacting, what can I do to help the little girl? she's eating and swimming pretty much with the rest of the brood in the tank and acting as normal as corries can act...

thanks, hml

There can sometimes be eye injuries. I'm not trying to say it's nothing to worry about...just that they do bump into things on occasion.
If you have melafix around a dose won't hurt until we can determine further treatment.

OK Babel, that's pretty much what I was figuring this morning when I saw it...and I've already dosed with the melafix, I'll have to go check on my little girl in a bit and see how she is fairing so far...

Amazing that they can still bump into thingsit's not like I've added anything recentlystill the same driftwood, in the same place, with the coconut, and pots to hide in guess they are too much like their owner who runs into the same dang wall at least once a week

thanks, and i'll keep you posted, heidi

yes babel that was bad...checked on her just a bit ago and she seems to be doing better, looks like she is gonna be chasing the boys tonight:%)But, I've warned her to leave the metae fry alone...they just aren't old enough yet I'll let you know though how she's doing in the morning, heidi

I hate to say it, but cories are e to running into things. They seem to rely on their lateral line and sense of smell more than their eyes, as you can drop food on top of them and they won't eat it until they smell it. When they're spooked, they'll try to retreat to cover without checking to see if anything is in the way.

I hope your cory recovers fully and learns from the incident.
