He's in a 6g planted tank with 2 otos. He's active, good color, eating well, water params are fine and there is nothing new in the tank. Yesterday though I noticed what I'm assuming is a tumor underneath his face, I call it his 'chin area', if that helps. It was a little less than the size of his eye, and colored similar to his coloring. Today it's the same size but has turned black. Is this something common with fish, or with bettas? Something that will go away or fatal? I like this guy, so any help or info would be greatly appreciated. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

I have had bettas with tumors, however, and they are pretty slow growing. My fish started out with little bumps, but theirs were closer to their tail. It took several months before the tumors got big enough to really be sure. I hope that is not what your fish has - nothing that can be done if it is. |
