One of my platys had always been smaller and less active, now i've notice that in the last few days (at least) the ends of her gills have been kind of reddish, can she be ill?

What are your test results in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate, and ph.

ammonia and nitrate weren't that great. actually not good at all, but my other fish seem fine and i did a major water change, gravel vacuuming and water treatment today, will that help? I also have life plants

Don't do anymore water changes or gravel vacs until the toxins are gone. Your tank is cycling, and changing the water will only prolong the process.
