	critical condition betta
bettachris Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3875 Kudos: 4173 Votes: 452 Registered: 13-Jun-2004	to get to the point i got a new male betta that i found a few hours after i got him he was upside down with gills flared out and not moving. i quickly did CPR and drained the water so his head can stick out so he can breath. right now i have is cup blancing in a soda cup so the water is just right. what is left to do? i haven't had this happen b4. he was breathing at one point but now he is. he isn't swimming though.

I have no idea what caused it, but the salt might help his bouyancy a little and assist with his breathing, and hopefully slow any external infections.
