hey there.. i had only 6 Harlequin Rasboras and brought them 4 days ago.. they were eating perfectly swiming and schooling together very nicely.. but soon as i mooved the location of the tank they had stopped eatin, were not schooling together and stayed around the bottom of the tank?? it is a 50l tank which is about 13 gallon it is at 26°c and ph is at 6/7.. 3 have already died and the others dont look to healthy .. i'm really worried as i was planning to add some platys soon..
other possible reason could be that i had just added after the moove 2 new anubias plants.. they came from a pot plant and may have had a little soil on them when they were put into the tank could this be a cause??
hope this helps.. ..
i'm new to aquariums and am trying but am not having much luck

Hi,
Sorry to hear of your loss. When you moved the tank did you move everything of did you empty out the water and put new water in?
You may have caused it to start cycling again.
How old is the tank and can you give us some ammonia, nitrIte & nitrAte readings?
I am not too sure from what you have said what is causing your problem but I dont think it is the addition of the plants and I would hold off on the platties until you get it sorted out.

well i got the water checked out at my lfs because i dont have a testing kit yet.. and he said armonia was fines and water was fine.. but he said to add some more crystals..
i remove and replace 10lts of water 1 time a week and make sure i put sufficient amount of treatment and crystals.. when we moved the tank.. i only look out like 20% of the water.. enough for us so we could shift to tank.. it wasnt a big change in the water.. i will try get my water chacked out again..
edit: the tank is 9 weeks old

update all but 1 fish have died.. must have sumthing to do with my water.. i'm gonna give a sample to my lfs to check out as i dont have a testing kit.. another possibility could be a teracotter(dont now if its real terracotter) type potplant that i put into the water as an ornament??

what is "crystal"?

"If" the test results from your lfs is correct, then your fish should be die off from stress....switch your lights off for a day or 2 if u still have it on..just leave it for a while and let them calm down, dun bother about feeding as well until they show improvement

i found out why the fish wer dieing.. it was from fertaliser that was on the roots of the anubias when it was put into the tank.. i have done a 40% water change and just tested ph and it was at 7.3 .. 1 is left from the 6 rasboras .. and he seems to be looking better.. i will restock tank soon as the water is back to norm..
thanks to those who helped
