my friend's dad has a 20 gallon for his work area. he has a few mollys that have (from what he told me) a fungus problem. for right now until he goes and gets med, i told him to raise the temp and add some aquarium salt. is this right for now.

Yes you were right in telling them to add the aquarium salt.But, You also need to explain to them that fungus usually only effects fish that are stressed out and have a weak immune system or possibly injured, So in the future they need to try to make sure their doing at least bi weekly water changes of at least 20% in order to keep the water in the fishes living environment clean and healthy in order for their immune systems to stay strong so their not suseptible to disease like fungus.

Also can you get test results in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph, where is the fungus and does it look fluffy in appearance.
