i have a 20gal tank with 2 Angels. the gold angel hasn't been eating much lately and it's been swimming upwards (i added a couple of pictures below to show you what i mean).
i've checked the water parameters and all is fine except the Ammonia level which came out to a high 8.0 . i know this is really bad, today is water change day but i dont know how much of a water change i should do considering my angel is acting this way. is there anything else i can add to the water to maybe help this problem out?

Trops will go to the top of the tank and sometimes suck air when ammonia reaches drastic levels...

Others may just roll over and die.

Do an immediate 50% water change with the same temp and pH water as the main tank.

Purchase a bottle of the "New Improved Cycle" and dose according to directions. There's a good chance your tank is not properly cycled and good nitrifying bacteria is at a premium.

garyroland-- thanks for the advice. im heading to the petstore soon but if they don't have "New Improved Cycle" is there an alternative that i could use instead? someone told me i could use "Cycle Sludge Remover" that's supposed to strengthen the biological removal of ammonia and nitrites.

No "sludge remover"...

That will increase the ammonia in a tank by breaking down the waste.

"Bio Spira" is the other option or any "bacteria starter" that will develop a healthy bacteria colony.
