I had a balloon molly that died of SBD too, I found out that SBD can be caused by two separate things. The first is a defect of the fish from birth, usually in fish with large belly's, this type is non-contagious and is non-treatable. The second is cause by an internal bacteria and can be spread. This type is difficult to treat but but is treatable. If you can, quarantine your fish quickly. A salt bath is cheap and can be used, or go to a fishstore and ask them for a treatment. they'll tell you it isn't likely that you'll save the fish but you can at least try. good luck.

What do you feed your fish as two many dried foods can cause swim bladder, i would feed the fish some peas and daphnia to help digest there food.
