well again they got sick, they are starting to get white mucus on them. this has happened b4 with one of my older loaches, but now 4 out of 4 got it. i think the way i fixed it b4 with my other loach was i did a water change. this brings up more questions, b/c the other fish in the tank aren't sick. which i find wierd. i will do a water change and see if anything changes.

An overproduction of mucus is often a fishes way of protecting against bad things in the water. I would do tests for Ammonia, Nitrites, and Nitrates, test PH and water hardness and then report back to us. You recently added new fish didnt you? It is possible they have infected your hi fins with something they had, possibly even something they are immune to.

this could be a resault of too much bacteria i.e. ammonia or nitrit. test your water.

the water is about 7 ph, but that's all i know. i have been noticing with these fish for many years that they will get white, but it doesn't seem to stop 'em. yesterday i did a water change and 3-4 of them are better. this is something really wierd. but i have been noticing this for many years and many loaches.
